Creamy Avocado Cacao Mousse Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 ripe avocados
- The hard-set cream from the top of a can of coconut cream
(To achieve this, let the can sit undisturbed on a shelf for 2 days. Alternatively, refrigerate it to speed up the setting process. Avoid shaking or inverting the can.) - 1/4 cup cacao powder
- 1/4 cup liquid sweetener of choice (e.g., maple syrup or date syrup)
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon Ashwagandha powder
- Optional: 1/2 teaspoon cardamom and a pinch of clove powder for a chai spice twist
Instructions
- Scoop out the avocado flesh and add it to a food processor along with the hard-set coconut cream, cacao powder, sweetener, cinnamon, ginger, Ashwagandha, and any optional spices.
- Blend the mixture until it is smooth and creamy.
- Transfer the mousse to a bowl or individual serving dishes, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
